Day 1: Cusco – Chinchero, Moray & Salt Mines drop-off in Ollantaytambo
We will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00am and travel to Chinchero, a small rustic town with a long tradition of textile weaving. See various textiles woven with traditional Incan techniques, and explore ruins for approximately 40 minutes and 30 minutes with the local Chinchero weavers.
Next, you will visit the Salineras (salt mine), there are over 4000 salt ponds which were used for a long time by our ancestors. This helped preserve their food for long periods. After learning about Incan agricultural techniques, make your way to Maras town, Maras has a particular identity because it does not depend solely on one tourist attraction. Its charm lies in its old streets, colonial doorways, farming fields, traditional salt production, and the daily life of its residents.
After visiting this beautiful town we will drive to Moray agricultural terraces along the hillsides. The Incas built these terraces to grow an abundance of crops on less-than-ideal mountain terrain, and we will spend some time in this beautiful inca site.
Finally we will make your way to the historical town of Ollantaytambo where we will have our lunch before to visit the Inca site. At Ollantaytambo, climb over 200 steps to reach the top of the ancient terraced fortress that overlooks the town. This was an important defensive location during Incan times. After visiting Ollantaytambo for 1 hour after that the tour guide drops you off at your hotel in Ollantaytambo town.

Day2: Ollantaytambo – Santa Teresa – Lucmabamba – Coffee tour
The tour starts with a breakfast around 6:00 a.m. After that we will drive to the inca jungle for 4 hours to Santa Maria. On the way to the coffee plantation or we will stop at the highest point of the day, at 14173 feet (4320 m) above sea level, at the pass or Abra de Málaga. During this day we will have the opportunity to experience two completely different climates: the warm and humid high forest and the cold and dry Andes.
After that we will drive to Santa Teresa town for 1 hour, where we are going to visit the hot spring of Cocalmayo (optional), where we can relax and enjoy a wonderful experience for 1 hour approx. After that we will have our lunch in santa Teresa town. Finally we will drive to Lucmabamba where we will enjoy the tour in the coffee plantation with the farmer for about 3 hours. This is an incredible opportunity to obtain information about the secrets of small-scale coffee production in the Peruvian jungle, where only high quality arabica coffee beans are used. We will spend the night with the local family.

Day3: Coffee plantation – LLaqtapata (inca Trail) – Aguas Calientes
We will begin the day with a breakfast around 7:00 a.m. and later we will start the walk. The first part will take us along an old Inca trail, and it will take approx. 3 hours. we will visit the llaqtapata inca site which is a small inca site and from that place we will see Machupicchu in the distance. Later we will continue hiking down to Hydroelectric for 2 hour aprox. After that there are 2 options:
The first one is walking to aguas calientes town for 3 hours ,just following the rail way
The second one is taking the train to aguas calientes town for 40 minutes ,the tickest price is USD 35 aprox. (the train tickest is not included, you can buy at the same place) .
In Aguas Calientes you will have the afternoon/evening free to explore the town, dinner and rest.

Day 4: Machu Picchu
The fourth day is dedicated to exploring the Inca city of Machu Picchu, Peru’s most famous attraction. Within the ruins there are many options available to us. We can choose and walk through one of the two optional mountains, Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain and we can even walk to the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku) and/or the Inca bridge.
We will start the trip to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, walking for about 1.5 hours uphill, although a second option is also possible, take the bus (transport) for around 30 minutes until the entrance of the attraction (this option requires a additional cost of $ 24 round-trip bus ticket).
Once inside the archaeological complex we will have a guided tour of 2 hours, which will give us a general view of the history and culture of the Inca Empire, as well as the spiritual, political and educational importance of Machu Picchu. After visiting the ruins, we will have to descend for about 1.5 hours on the way back or take the return bus (in the case of having bought it), where we will take the train to Ollantaytambo for about 2 hours. In Ollantaytambo, our bus will be waiting for you to take you back to Cusco,
About the circuit to visit Machupicchu is depending of the availabilities according the government. We recommend to book in advance.
